Founded in 1583, St. Bees has approximately 300 students – boys and girls – aged between 11 and 18 years old. Some students stay at the school as boarders, while others are day pupils.

St. Bees is situated in an outstanding, rural location on the edge of the Lake District in the village of St. Bees on the Cumbrian coast.
