The fine entrance foyer and gallery leads into three large studio spaces where pupils are encouraged to develop their creative skills through exploring a range of different experiences and approaches.
In the early years of the Art syllabus we encourage and build confidence in mark-making through a variety of drawing projects. The topics change from year to year depending on the attributes of the group being taught.
Sketch books are used to investigate and explore ideas. They are also used to present preps/homework.
Pupils are encouraged to develop their own particular emphasis and direction, developing techniques and processes as their work progresses.
