St. Bees School has an enviable reputation for Art.
The Art Studios occupy a central location in school and for the first three years, all pupils study Art before being given the option of continuing the subject at GCSE and A level.

A significant number have gone on to undertake Art Foundation Years in leading Art Colleges after leaving the Sixth Form. An Artist-in-Residence adds another dimension to the Department and gives our pupils the opportunity of working alongside a professional artist.

Students are encouraged to use a wide variety of media as demonstrated by the images below showing recently completed two and three dimensional work.
