The Humanities

Geography, History and Religious Studies

Once or twice a year every form spends a day broadening their understanding of Geography through fieldwork studies in the locality of the school.

The History Department draws on a wide variety of source material to bring the subject matter being studied to life and to develop the pupils’ analytical skills.

As a Church of England Foundation, Religious Studies starts with the teachings of Christianity before examining comparisons with other world religions.

Business Studies and Economics are offered as Sixth Form subjects and the School participates annually in the Young Enterprise competition which gives pupils firsthand experience of setting up and running a trading company for a twelve month period.
