Welcome to School House. The welcome is extended from myself as Housemaster and from all the boys already in the House. I am confident that your son will settle down very quickly and make strong friendships with other boys in the House that will last a lifetime.
In years to come your son will look back at his time at St. Bees School and, in particular, his time spent in School House and he will be able to draw on some very fond memories. I would like to consider that it is not just the Boy who is part of School House, but also the Parent or Guardian.

The maximum time a boy will spend in School House is three years; this is a very short period in one's life, but a period of time when your son will be prepared for adulthood in the right environment of care, direction and support. Within School House a sense of identity, personal responsibility, respect for others alongside an ambitious outlook for the future is continually encouraged.
I look forward to meeting you soon and wish your son a productive and successful time in School House.
