The indoor basketball facilities are always in high demand at St Bees. In addition basketball is also available on the floodlight multi-purpose hard courts. The senior basketball team competes against local schools and clubs and pupils regularly play against each other at inter-house matches. A popular fund raising event is the 6th form versus staff match when the sports hall is known to be packed with spectators.

Rounders is a popular activity and during the Summer term it is a favourite with girls and boys alike. The girls compete in fixtures against local schools and St Bees hosts the North County U12, U13 and U14 tournaments each year.

St Bees squash courts are available to every pupil all year round. It is played competitively in local leagues, recreationally by many in their free time and is a popular activity. It is also played competitively against local schools as part of the Senior Multi Sports tournaments.

Badminton is part of the winter sports programme at St Bees and the five courts are available to every pupil all year round. It is played recreationally by many pupils in their free time and competitively against local schools as part of the Senior Multi Sports tournaments.

St Bees is one of the few schools in the country to have its own Eton Fives Courts. The traditional game originated from the well known boys' school Eton College and the participants play by striking the ball with their hand rather than a racquet. There are three courts and the school annually takes part in the National Tournament based in Shrewsbury.






Other activities offered are lacrosse, archery, softball, football, volleyball, netball and trampolining.
